Jenna Fischer's most well-known character was in the role of Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. To honor the significance of her performance, she won the Emmy award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and received the award for two SAG Awards.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger that instilled a passion of theater and performance.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. The play was followed by her participation at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance at The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer started the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf at the end of October 2019. The show quickly gained popularity. Every week, it was within the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloads in its first couple years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her debut book that details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actor professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her most beloved friend and her experience at The Office.
