Katherine Heigl discusses how growing up in a 'white bubble' has impacted the way that she parented her adopted multiracial family. The actress from "Firefly Lane" told the media that it didn't matter the color of her skin for her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted sister she realized the difference between how others treated her and her. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt different when she went out with us parents than when she went out by herself. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided to channel her anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son who is married to her 13 year old spouse, Josh Kelley. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who was adopted by the couple in 2012.
